At Burnside Dental Clinic and Implant Centre Dr Hitesh Ghai is our leading Principal Dentist. He is joined by Dr Mayuri Sahgal, Dr Mark Moore and Dr Surbhi Sehgal along with a team of experienced Oral Health Therapists, Hygienists. We pride ourselves on our exceptional care of our patients and you can be assured you’re in safe hands when you visit our clinic.
Dr Ghai has a Masters Certificate in Implant Dentistry, and has been the principal dentist at Burnside Dental Practice since 2009. He has a humble, down to earth nature and loves all aspects of dental care. His special interests in dental services include implants, full mouth rehabilitation and oral surgery. He stays at the forefront of all recent advances in clinical dentistry, and is diligent in providing dental care procedures while using state of the art technology, materials and equipment.
Away from the practice, Dr Ghai loves spending time with his wife, daughter and dogs, and is an avid golfer, cricket lover and has a keen interest in motorcycles.
Dr Mayuri Sahgal is the co-owner of Burnside Dental Practice with her husband, Dr Hitesh Ghai. Dr Sahgal graduated from University in 2007, and has worked in private practices since then.
Dr Sahgal is very gentle and patient in her manner, and enjoys treating patients in Adelaide of all ages, from very young, through to the elderly. She is a strong believer in the importance of preventative and conservative dentistry. She enjoys all aspects of general dentistry, but her special interests include Invisalign treatment, root canal therapy and cosmetic restorations.
In her spare time, Dr Sahgal enjoys spending time with her family, daughter and dogs.
Dr Sanjit Suresh is a kind and enthusiastic dentist who graduated with a Bachelors in Dental Surgery from the University of Adelaide. He was also awarded a First Class Honours in Dental Science.
Sanjit is a dentist who prioritizes nurturing optimal oral health and transforming beautiful smiles. He has a comprehensive range of dental expertise, especially in cosmetic dentistry (crowns and veneers), root canal therapy and oral surgery. He is committed to fostering a welcoming environment to provide positive dental experiences to all his patients, especially those anxious to come to the dental chair. He regularly attends numerous courses and conferences to ensure his patient receive the highest quality of care. With a compassionate approach and a keen eye for detail, each patient receives personalised care tailored to their unique needs.
Away from dentistry, Sanjit enjoys spending time with family and friends in activities ranging from hiking to board games. He also loves playing sports whether that be badminton, cricket, tennis or soccer.
Dr Surbhi Sehgal (Dr Surbhi) graduated from The University of Adelaide with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery, and is currently working within the private and public sector. She believes in high quality, patient centred care, through a comforting and friendly manner. Surbhi is always striving to make sure that her patients in Adelaide feel comfortable and supported in her care, and she takes pride in her ability to build trusting relationships with patients of all ages.
Dr Surbhi has a keen interest in cosmetic dentistry and minor oral surgery, with a strong commitment to continue her professional development.
Outside of work, Dr Surbhi enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and is always on the lookout for good walks and new brunch spots.
Parwin has been an important part of the hygiene team at Burnside Dental in Adelaide since 2010.
Parwin has a very warm, and caring nature and can quickly build a rapport with her patients, regardless of age. She has a special interest in treating patients with moderate to advanced periodontal disease, and like all of our hygienists/therapists, she has a strong preventive dental focus.
When Parwin is not working, she loves to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Jade is the newest addition to join the Burnside Dental team.
Jade graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2015, and is a highly skilled Oral Health Therapist. Jade has a special interest in the intricate treatment and management of gum disease. Jade’s other passion is teeth whitening as she understands the importance of a bright and confident smile.
Jade is the first to admit she is a perfectionist especially when it comes to her dedication in providing a high standard of dental care to all her patients. Her goal is not only to provide exceptional care, but to also create a comfortable, informative and positive experience for all her patients.
Outside of the clinic, you can find Jade on the Pilates mat, practicing yoga or creating memories with her husband and young daughter.
Lauren has been a part of the Burnside Dental Practice team in Adelaide since 2013, and has an Advanced Diploma in Oral Health. Lauren is passionate about going the extra mile to help her patients achieve, and maintain, a healthy smile.
Lauren has a big personality, and is very thorough in her profession. She enjoys seeing patients of all ages, and catching up on how their lives have been since their last visit. Lauren is happy that she has developed a very loyal patient base.
Away from work, Lauren enjoys pilates, walking her dog Ollie, and spending time with her friends and family.
The practice is very fortunate to have a great team of dental assistants to support our dentists.
Due to the complex nature of a lot of our treatments, the girls require a very diverse skill set. From Dr Ghai’s surgical patients, Dr Sahgal’s wide variety of patients and procedures (from children to Cerecs to root canals), their days are never boring. They have many years of dental experience between them and are all fantastic at their main role – making their patients feel comfortable and at ease.
