Dr Hitesh Ghai
Dr Ghai has been the Practice Principal at Burnside since 2009.
He is diligent in his pursuit to stay current in providing the leading dental care procedures, while using state of the art technology, materials and equipment. He has a very humble and down to earth nature, and enjoys all aspects of dentistry. His special interests are in Implant Dentistry and full mouth rehabilitation. He stays at the forefront of all recent advances in clinical dentistry and has a Masters Certificate in Implant Dentistry from UCLA.
Away from the practice, Dr Ghai is an avid golfer, lover of cricket and enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter and dogs.
Dr Mayuri Sahgal
Dr Mayuri Sahgal co-owns Burnside Dental Practice with her husband, Dr Hitesh Ghai.
She graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2007 and has worked in private practices since.
Dr Sahgal is a fervent believer in the importance of preventative and conservative dentistry. She has a very gentle and patient manner and enjoys treating patients of all ages, from young children right through to the elderly.
Dr Sahgal has special interest in root canal therapy, ceramic restorations, and enjoys all aspects of general dentistry.
Outside of the dental practice, Mayuri spends all her time with her family, daughter, and dogs.
Dr Jishnu Sreedaran
Dr Jishnu Sreedaran grew up in Adelaide and completed his Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Adelaide.
He enjoys getting to know his patients closely, to form longstanding relationships with his patients and increase their comfort during visits to the dentist. He strives to ensure that his patients receive comprehensive care and that their needs are meet at each appointment.
Jish enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and has special interests in ceramic crowns/restorations, oral surgery and root canal therapy.
Outside of dentistry, Jish enjoys spending time with friends, travelling, finding new places to eat, and staying active at the gym.
Parwin has been an integral part of our hygiene program here at Burnside since 2010.
She has a special interest in treating patients with moderate to advanced periodontal disease, and like all of our hygienist / therapists, has a strong preventative focus.
She has a warm and caring nature and can quickly and easily build a rapport with her patients be they 8 or 80!
When not working with us, Parwin loves to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Lauren is the newest addition to our dental hygiene team.
She has been in the dental industry since 2008 and has been with us at Burnside Dental since 2013
Lauren believes that dental issues can be prevented and she is passionate about education, knowledge is key!
In her free time, she enjoys keeping fit, walking her dog Ollie, and spending time with friends and family.
Lana Mustafa graduated from the Bachelor of Oral Health in 2016 (University of Adelaide). Lana enjoys building relationships with her patients and assisting them to achieve and maintain good oral health which in turn will positively impact their general health and wellbeing. Lana provides support that is tailored to each individual’s needs, ensuring a healthy mouth and cultivating confidence in one’s smile.
Besides Lana’s involvement in clinical dentistry, she is currently the Treasurer of the Australian Dental and Oral Health Therapists Association SA/NT. The primary goal of the association is advocacy for the profession and for improvement of oral health outcomes for the population as well as providing continuing professional development for members. Additionally, Lana volunteers with the Common Ground Outreach Dental program, providing oral health care for people who have suffered homelessness or have difficulty accessing conventional dental care within the local community.
Fiona has been with the Practice since 2008.
As well as coordinating our busy reception area, she also keeps the practice running smoothly. With 24 years in the dental industry, she has a wealth of experience and knowledge. Her caring nature and ready smile will help put you at ease.
When Fiona isn’t running the desk, she’s busy running after her kids and running around the Torrens. She also enjoys baking, a glass of bubbles, and the company of her friends and family.
The practice is very fortunate to have a great team of dental assistants to support our dentists.
Due to the complex nature of a lot of our treatments, the girls require a very diverse skill set. From Dr Ghai’s surgical patients, Dr Sahgal’s wide variety of patients and procedures (from children to Cerecs to root canals), their days are never boring. They have many years of dental experience between them and are all fantastic at their main role – making their patients feel comfortable and at ease.
